Description

Cognac is distinct from Brandy in that it is from a very specific region in the West of France- not a million miles away from Bordeaux. It is roughly split into 6 sub regions which all have their own characteristics. The real trick in making a great Cognac comes in blending many Eau de Vie (spirits) together as well as ageing them for exactly the right period of time. When it comes to making an XO that period of time is a minimum of 10 years by law!
